Shine some light on your chemistry with the Kienzler lab!

The Kienzler lab is actively growing! We are currently looking to hire a postdoc for the CRAC channel photoswitch project (see below).

We are seeking graduate students, a postdoctoral associate, and are always on the look out for new undergraduate students.

Undergraduate Students:

Undergraduates students excited to learn about conducting research in an organic/biological chemistry laboratory should contact Dr. Kienzler via email and provide answers to the following questions:

  • What do you find interesting about the Kienzler Lab?
  • Are you able to work at least 8 hours in the lab each week, on two consecutive days? Do you want to work for credit or payment?
  • Are you interested in working during the summer (assuming you were paid)?
  • Do you want/need to write a thesis about your research? (If so, plan to work at least two semesters, 10 hours a week, and one summer full time)
  • What are you planning to do after you graduate (job, graduate school, med school, etc.)?

Graduate Students:

Graduate students already admitted to the department who are interested in learning more about research in the Kienzler Lab, please contact Dr. Kienzler by email or in person (office A418).

Prospective Ph.D. students that have not yet applied/been accepted to the UConn Chemistry program, please contact Dr. Kienzler by email, but know that you will also need to apply to the graduate program through the standard process.  For more information on applying to the department see: https://chemistry.uconn.edu/graduate/apply/.

Research Technicians (all levels):
